Zachery John Black, age 30 of Jefferson died suddenly Saturday, March 28, 2015 at home. He was a beloved husband, father, son and brother.
He was born September 9, 1984 in Waynesburg, a son of John William Leroy and Sue Ann Woods Black of Jefferson.
Mr. Black had attended Jefferson-Morgan High School and he had worked as a coal analyst with Miltech Analytical Services, Inc.
He had attended the Calvary Baptist Church in Lippencott.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding 4-wheelers, carpentry and above all spending time with his family.

Zachery John Black, age 30 of Jefferson died suddenly Saturday, March 28, 2015 at home. He was a beloved husband, father, son and brother.
He was born September 9, 1984 in Waynesburg, a son of John William Leroy and Sue Ann Woods Black of Jefferson.
Mr. Black had attended Jefferson-Morgan High School and he had worked as a coal analyst with Miltech Analytical Services, Inc.
He had attended the Calvary Baptist Church in Lippencott.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding 4-wheelers, carpentry and above all spending time with his family.
On January 22, 2010 he married Billie A. Phillips Black, who survives.
Also surviving in addition to his wife and parents are two children, Grace and Zachery Jr., both at home; a sister, Jenifer Gallagher and her husband Ronald of Waynesburg; paternal grandfather, George Black and step-grandmother Louise Bedillion of Waynesburg; father and mother-in-law Bill and Diane Phillips of Waynesburg; brother-in-law, Joe & Deysha Phillips of Waynesburg; sisters-in-laws, Kim & Bobby Jenkins of Dayton, OH and Crissy & Drew Dudgeon of Union, NJ; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; all whom he loved dearly.
Deceased is a brother, John William Leroy Black II; paternal grandmother, Sandra Kaye Anderson Black; maternal grandparents, Charles William and Mona Lee White Woods, and John Woodrow "Woody" and Marcella Mosholder Basinger.
Family and friends are being received from 1 to 6 p.m. Thursday, April 2, 2015 in the Jefferson American Legion Post #954, Jefferson, where a memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm with the Rev. Nick Bardo officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made directly to the family.
